So, what was the deal with that FASHION show at a COSPLAY event, you may ask. Now, my dear honeybee, please, let me explain.

Photo: Michal Svojanovsky
In the first installment of my 'explanatory post, because I want everyone to know about the amazing fashion we have here in CZ and SK so that everyone can be in awe, bow before the amazing seamstresses here', I'm gonna talk about the first inspiration, why this fashion show was even born, who helped and what went absolutely wrong (let's be real and let's learn from our mistakes, I bring your some pro-tips).

It all began last year in June witch a chance meeting between me, Temi and Anet. Temi, as you know, is the second (and better) half of Bara no Usagi. She is really into alta moda and haute couture, just like I am, so we had been dreaming for quite a long time of a fashion show that could be shown in the otaku community and wouldn't be too out of a place but still awesome and luxurious. Cue Anet, one of the organizers of Cosples, who is also a very good friend of ours, is a part of RG (just like Temi), and is an awesome person! Everybody needs an Anet in their life. really.

Our visions all began with these (All hail our  gods - Sweet Banana AKA Dolce&Gabbana♥):

So, back on track, after subtly (not so subtly tho, we need to be somehow an elephant in a porcelain cup because without it, no great thing would have been accomplished!) introducing our idea of a grande fashion show, Anet told us that hey, why don't we actually do a fashion show for Cosples?

This gif actually represents people during organizing a fashion show, mainly those around me that don't want to have anything to do with my workaholic slave-driver self
Now, please, let me stop here for a moment. The problem with organizing fashion shows is that one person can't do it all on their own, and the communication between the event's organizing team and the head of the fashion show must, at all times, be clear and perfect. In other words, if these two sides don't communicate clearly and on time, the stress levels are rising and the show itself is slowly packing its bags and reserving a ticket to launch itself into the sun.
The problem with planning a fashion show for an event, for the first time? The communication is going to suck big time. Everybody knows what they want but nobody will tell you exactly what it is that they want.
Mistakes were made, words were exchanged later that was ideal, at one moment I thought that the whole show was over even before it started, people were panicking, nobody knew what to do, but somehow, SOMEHOW, everything was resolved and we were finally officially part of Cosples!

That sentence really made me happy - you know, people knew there was gonna be a fashion show, it was official! ♥
To give advice to everyone planning such an elaborate show as a part of an already gradieuse event - talk to each other and make sure that both sides know exactly what the side wants, and communicate on time, ask and talk! Right now, I am in the middle of planning a lolita fashion show for AnimeFest  2018, and I think that the head of programme affairs is already sick of my questions. But if it means that everything will go smoothly in the upcoming months, I am willing to play the role of a stomach bug evolving into an ulcer!
Trust me, there is nothing worse that answering 'I actually don't know...' to any of your models' or staff's questions.

This reminds me of the FS preparations - everything burns, nobody actually knows what's going on, but hey, it's okay, that's normal!
The big question was, should I actually make the entire dress collection for the show or should I play the role of an activist and invite some other brands? The second options is true at all times and nobody is surprised, righ.
I knew that if I wanted the lolita community to be widely known and talked about in happy and awed terms, I had to invite the best of the best. And this is the reason why the fashion show was not 'haute couture' or 'lolita' only, but was 'couture & lolita'.

Because I am a crazy person and usual fashion shows bore me to tears, I knew that show with a story is a must! Slowly and through trial and error I ended up with a basic outline - there is going to be a story teller, a girl that would be the audiences' persona, and three fractions, in each there would be a different style.
Then one day while sleepily dragging myself to faculty to teach new generations of scientists, I got the perfect idea - the theme would be 'Metamorphosis'! The girl would be partly a Dantian character, going through different parts of something, and she would be required to choose something, only for the audience to choose her ultimate fate!
Even later, when looking at some dress' ideas, I knew that the difference in the styles means that I would have something light, something more gothic and dark in style, and then there are lolita brands.
Then later, while listening to some Malice Mizer in combination with ALI Project and Rokugen Alice, I got the idea of a Hell, Heaven and Earth/Life fractions, and the girl is someone who died and her soul is traveling through dimensions so she can choose where she's gonna stay for all eternity. And also, I should add a guide. Just because stories usually have someone that knows what's going on, I told myself.

So, the main characters and fractions were decided, and then I hoped that nothing major would require changes.

Also, some more advice for planners of fashion shows - do yourself a favour, be the baddest witch around and hunt your models into attending a rehearsal some days before the fashion show, and then be even worse and threaten them into attending another rehearsal just hours before the show itself.
For everyone who doesn't know what it means to model in one of my fashion shows - a week before the event, there is a rehearsal that lasts for about four or so hours, where I try to help with the model's psychology and mental preparations, then there is an exercise part because nobody has ever walked right with their muscle mass being in a state of liquid poo, also the models have to know how to walk so we have a walking session (no, walking is not easy, trust me), and then in the last few hours we try to go through the story and where should everybody be at, what is the right time, how to get there, and what to do once they are at that spot.
It's more like a boot camp, my dear poor models. I think that that night, everybody slept like a baby!
Then, once the day of the event arrives, we go through the story and the show two times, with music and story telling and everything, and then we hope for the best.
So as you can see, being a model is not easy! This is why I choose my models very carefully, if I see that someone just uses this opportunity to 'wear a nice dress', they are out of the game. Either you are doing this for others, for the j-fashion community, to create something beautiful, be selfless and be able to be 'just a model', or you are not in the game. Strict, I know, but these shows are my babies and I want them to be for others, not just for us.

In the next installment, I am gonna talk more about the main character and story teller designs and the first dimension the girl encountered - Hell.
The topic of this week's (or year's in my case, I told you I was bad at weekly challenges...) is

Something you like about Wakana (can't say everything)

Wakana, for me, was for a long time 'just someone who was there'. Like I wrote in Week 5, Keiko had been everything for me for a long time, I didn't pay any special attention to others. I knew Wakana was there, she had a great voice, her high notes were surely the work of angels, and she was gorgeous, but my interest in her wasn't spiked until four or so years ago when I decided to really pay attention to everyone in Kalafina equally.

When I think about Wakana, the first thing that pops up in my head is definitely her voice...duh... Who would have thought, right? But really, her voice has that tragic quality that gives Kalafina's song it's devastating and sad tone. I remember in one interview Kajiura said that Wakana's voice is like windpipes, perfect for tragedies. And yes, that's completely true! When she sings in that epic voice of hers, I get vivid sad and touching images in my head, be it about separated lovers, someone saying goodbye to a place or a person, or just general unfairness of this world. Heck, even when she sings about meadows full of blooming flowers, I want to cry!

The video I was talking about is here:

Examples of my favourite songs including epic notes by Wakana dearest
1] Obbligato (3:53, Consolation LIVE audio)

2] Fairytale (basically the whole song has this magical atmosphere thanks to Wakana's voice)

3] Who would have guessed it, Red Moon! No, really, Red Moon has that tragic and soul-tearing sound exactly because of Wakana's heaven sent voice

Now, what else I love about her is her secret dorkiness, and of course her love for sharks! It's so cute! I mean, sharks aren't generally well loved animals, but she loves the so much and with such passion, you simply have to love her for her love of sharks

She has a really interesting expression when she's not smiling, not doing anything. She's not expressionless, she has this soft look, like she's calling for you to come closer, almost like she's from a fairytale and she's inviting you.

She's really sweet to other members! Be it on or off stage, she loves Keiko and Hikaru and everybody can see it! I like people that are able to show their emotions freely ♥

All in all, she is a gentle ray of sunshine, lady that I would love to meet in person. I really love how she is the 'mother' of the group, she is my inspiration when it comes to practicing quiet kindness and gentle ladiness ♥
Tosowoong, Enzyme Powder Wash claims to deep-cleanse skin without drying it out, suiting every skin type, and generally people love it. So, will I?

Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash

I am always out on a hunt for the ideal facewash. Since my skin is always doing whatever it wants, I need about five different cleansers for it's every whim. I decided to try out this one after I read raving reviews about it, and I also wanted to try a powder wash! Powder! Wash!

My skin: First of all, let's just state that my skin is the worst someone could ever have! It's dehydrated, oily, acne-prone with giant pores.

What this wash claims to do: It's an enzyme wash, so naturally you can expect nothing ordinary. Enzyme washes are peeling's cousins. Enzyme break down the dirt accumulated in your pores, gets rid of dead skin cells and reveals your new beautiful skin underneath. It's thanks to papain, an enzyme derived from papayas. Don't want to get too deep with my chemical knowledge, just know that this enzyme is good and it's not an irritant for about 80% of population. Except when your skin is also allergic to almost anything on this earth. Also, don't let it get into your eyes or mouth (one time it got into my mouth, and somehow it caused me to suffer from mouth ulcers for a whole week. Not nice!).

It's pH is: 5.5 which is great news, and it's the ideal pH for a cleanser to have! Never, NEVER use cleanser with high pH, I am talking about some cleansers with pH around 8 or 9 or even higher. Toss those out, toss them and never look at them again! Alkaline pH is NOT what you want your cleanser to have. 5.5 is great!

Ingredients: Zea mays (corn) starch, sodium lauroyl aspartate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, sodium palmitate, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, methylparaben, alcohol denat., perfume, maltodextrin, papain, badger oil

CosDNA analysis says: SLS is not good (5 as a potentional acne trigger, also 2 as irritant), another irritants are alcohol denat (high 5) and papain can be irritant (0-3) but as I said this one denepds on your skin. Another interesting this is, titanium dioxide which actually sunscreen is not for everyone. There is some fragrance that doesn't have to suit everyone, and methylparaben used as a preservative here can put off some people.

Fragrance: Yes, but to me it's such a great smell! It smells powdery (please call me Miss Obvious), but it's a soft, cottony kind of smell. It reminds of powders my grandma used to show me in private when my mum wasn't watching, because make-up was between me and grandma, out little secret ♥

Packaging: I love the packaging! It's build so you can't take out too much powder (unless you are an idiot like me and does all kinds of strange shakes, because yes, I can). The bottle is plastic, but it is quite sturdy.
Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash
The system is build so only a little amount of powder can be used in one bottle-tipping, no accidental spilling can occur ♥

x
Lathering it up: It's quite easy once you get the hang of how to turn powder into lather! A small amount is enough for the whole face. You can use your hands or apparently a konjac sponge. Don't expect the lather to be some kind of miraculous clouds, but it's enough!

Performance: So the time for me to tell the truth has come. First of all, this cleanser is not stripping, it doesn't leave you skin with that squeaky clean feeling (which is actually not good. Western cosmetic companies are selling you lies bad for you skin when they say that squeaky clean is the best. Nope! It just means your skin has been stripped of it's natural healthy and protective barrier and your cleanser should never do that!).
It leaves my skin feeling smooth , seriously, the first day I couldn't keep my hands off my face, it felt just like a baby's butt ♥
It does it's job in getting rid of dead skin cells and cleaning my pores. I am not talking about anything miraculous but I'm always surprised when there is a cleanser that is not oil based, but cleans my pores. It's great! I had to massage my face, especially my forehead and my cheeks and nose for about two minutes each cleansing session, but hey, relax and be prepared to have your pores vacuumed out B>
It doesn't irritate my skin. This is a giant plus. There hasn't been any redness since I started using this, and it also didn't break me out. It's seriously once of the most gentle cleansers ever. For me, at least!
Also, I use this baby after my oil cleanser. So also, this wash is great to use as the second cleanser, after an oil one. There are some cleanser that can't get rid of the oil residue and cleanse the skin, this one is not one of them, it can do anything!

Price: It's cheap! Like, holly shit, I expected this to cost me a leg and an arm, but it's about 10 bucks! It's really wallet friendly ♥

What's bad: Okay, there is one thing I hated about this. Just about month in, I got something that looked like eczema on my palms. Using my off-and-on-again tactic, I concluded that my hand apparently hated this stuff and so I had to either suffer through the crazy itching or use gloves. Other than that, all's fine.

Conclusion: This stuff is great! Really, if you are looking for a gentle yet throughout cleanser that does what it claims to do, go for it! It doesn't dry out your skin, cleanses your pores, doesn't irritate the skin (except when you can't stand SLS), and is crazy cheap! I mean, go for this one ♥

Rating: 4.5/5 BUY THAT SHIT
(0.5 minus because of the irritation of my hands' palms)
I was away on a conference, and I am bad at doing challenges, therefore I'm a little failure and skipped a week. I am sorry!

Last time I talked about Keiko, and this week the spotlight is on Hikaru!

Week 6 - What do you like about Hikaru ♥

I have to honest, when I started listening to Kalafina, Hikaru was my least favourite member. I don't have any idea why, she just didn't strike me as something amazing. And now, I can only strangle myself with a scarf because, boy, I was so stupid! Hikaru is a little ball of awkward sunshine and I love her!

I love her awkwardness most of all! She is so painfully shy, and sometimes when she talks during interviews, she has this 'I don't want to talk, I don't know what I am saying, someone please save me' air around her, and I can sympathize with her on a spiritual level.

Her short hair! Once she cut her hair she started to shine even more! It suits her so much more and giver her a certain character. I think she looks much more confident with short hair ♥ Also, her smile is amazing! ♥

She has this etheral beauty around her. She seems like she is from another world, too good and gorgeous for this world. She is so delicate but at the same time she's like a tree, planted and certain in her place.

She enjoys singing and live performing so much! She may be shy but when it comes to singing and enjoying the show, she is on fire! She can jump all over the stage, never lacking any confidence, she rocks and she knows it!

All in all, let me love this ray of sunshine! She is precious and anyone who says something bad about her will be shunned into you'rebadville B>
...Okay, so, here's the thing. Keiko is my ultimate bias out of everyone in this whole universe, if there is someone for whom I would gladly die or paint myself orange, she is the one...

Hey there, everyone! I know that I am not posting as much as I would like to post, but school's killing me. In a week I am supposed to be at a conference in Krakow and these last two weeks were spend doing stuff I should have already done like two months ago. Not fun, I tell ya.

Anyways, this week's topic is~

Something you like about Keiko (can't say everything)

...Why the fuck can't I say everything when I love everything about her? Uuurgh, okay, here is my essay, put your seatbelt on!

Keiko is... How would I describe her. She is an amazing singer! She's been my idol and role model when it comes to singing ever since I became a part of my grammar school's choir back when I was 15. I love her deep alto notes, they are so mysterious, teasing and yet tragic and full of power. Just like dark chocolate, that good and expensive kind. She is the most stable live singer out of all three. When she sings, it resonates with my soul. Actually, it was her voice that captivated me at the beginning and also her voice that always brings me back into my Kalfina obsession ocean.

She is beautiful. She may be a tiny little thing, but I like tiny little things, and she has that spark in her eyes and a wicked smile that makes me happy. That mole near her eye is just an added bonus to her already perfect visage!

Her long hair! Before I understood that I have to take care of my hair and get regular trims, I tried to grow out my hair so it would be long as hers. Needless to say, I had to cut of most of my hair because they were simply damaged because I always sucked when it came to hair care. Anyways! Her hair is still my goal! ♥

Source
Source
Source
Her fashion style matches mine! She like gothic and elegant things, is influenced by macabre and I love that! She is actually my daily fashion icon. Also, she likes cute comfortable looking things! All in all, her style is on point!

He singing face. It's called kabe-don and Hikaru and Wakana repeatedly commented on Keiko's ability to be this cool seducing member who sings without even moving one muscle and yet, people are spreading their legs open for them. Okay, not exactly in these words, but you get the idea, right? I am not the only one who is screaming 'I will have your baby!' everytime the camera shows Keiko when she is singing one of her long notes.
Also, she is seducing the other members left and right and I love it! Seductive people are my favourite people!

Also, she's a giant dork. I love dorky people! She can be seen fooling around with her members at their lives, and it just warms my heart because she can be the most tasty dark chocolate you've ever tasted or the funkiest poptart of your life! ♥

Source

So... yeah. You may have noticed I am kind of bunkers over her. If you ever want me to shut up, don't mention her in front of me. If you're looking for a topic of conversation, mention her! ♥

Until next time, lovelies~! Stay true to yoursefl ♥
